I went blueberry picking for the first time and had a blast. As a young girl, I remember cherry picking every year with my family. The heat was never my favorite part, but learning where your food comes from and enjoying time with loved ones are memories that I cherish.
Berries are my favorite fruits, so when I heard we could go blueberry picking out in Arkansas, I had to go! (Note: My boyfriend is from Arkansas and we went out to visit his family there) I enjoy fruit picking and eating blueberries so this adventure was perfect.
Where to Go Blueberry Picking
We went out to Neil Family Farm and, of course, the farm was very cautious with how they went about their procedures. We had to make reservations because they only allow a certain amount of people every hour. In addition, each group had their own aisle that they needed to stay in, we needed to wear our masks, and social distance when near other people. Since we had our own lane, I felt more comfortable and at ease to enjoy my time there.
Blueberry picking is such a fun summer activity to do with family and friends. I especially liked that you can choose your berries, see how they grow, and enjoy time outdoors. Fruit picking is an activity I enjoy and I plan on continuing the tradition of doing it.
With summer still in full swing, I hope you all get the chance to safely go out and pick some of nature’s finest foods. Enjoy and I can’t wait to see what you all pick!
