I took my time during quarantine to create a healthier lifestyle. One way I pursued this was by working out more consistently. There are tons of inspirational, beautiful, and healthy women that construct content for us to feel and look better. So, this was very difficult to write. But, here are my top 5 favorite women fitness trainers (and man!) whose workouts I love and enjoy diving into.
My Favorite Women Fitness Trainers
#1: KAYLA ITSINES
I’ve been following Kayla’s Bikini Body Guide (BBG) for years. She was one of my first women fitness trainers that I loved following consistently. Her workouts created the foundation and start for my love of being active and working out. Throughout the years, she has expanded and created more content for her community. She now has her Sweat app (which is a monthly/yearly subscription) and you can choose from 5 different trainers. Each trainer has a specific program that you can choose to follow depending on what type of workouts you want to do.
#2: REMI AND NATE
I’ve been following Remi on Instagram for awhile and I absolutely adore her! She’s such an inspiration to me. As an Asian American woman, it’s so influential to see each other thriving and building a strong community.
During quarantine, she and her boyfriend, Nate, have dedicated their time and energy to do workouts with us live, everyday at 9AM. Remi’s bubbly personality, Nate’s hardcore attitude, and the relationships built with them through each IGTV workout was what made me tune in. The workouts were killer, but what made me really enjoy working out everyday at 9AM for the past few months was Remi and Nate.
#3: JEANETTE JENKINS
One word: Fire! I recently stumbled upon Jeanette’s Instagram and gave her ab workout a go and let me say, my abs were on fire! She has a subscription to a streaming service for her workouts, but she shares some workouts on her Instagram feed. I love how simple, but efficient her workouts are. You can combine two or three of her videos to create a full days workout and feel refreshed and strong. Jeanette is also so inspiring because she created her company for a cause and the want to better the lives of our community.
#4: MASSY ARIAS
If you want to feel powerful and exhausted (>.<) by the end of your workout, give Massy Arias’s workouts a go! She has her own program subscription, but she too also posts workouts on her Instagram feed that are easy to follow along with. She creates a breakdown of reps and sets for each workout, which is very helpful for people, like me, who don’t really know how much or how long to do each technique for. Some of her videos also display modifications which are helpful if we can’t perform some of the techniques. (Which is always okay! Every body works and moves differently.)
#5: PAMELA REIF
Pamela creates “quick and effective” workouts on Youtube. Her workouts range from 10 to 30 minutes and they really are effective. Her videos of her are easy to follow, upbeat due to her music selection, and practical. I like the simplicity of her videos which makes her workouts calming. But don’t get me wrong, they will make you sweat and possibly feel sore the next day. She has a variety of different videos to choose from and for different workout levels. It’s nice to pick and choose a few workouts to do together. Although her workouts are short, I definitely feel my muscles working.
There are soooo many workouts to choose from and it can seem overwhelming, but start with one person first and do their workout for a few days; if you find that it’s not working for you, find the next person. Hopefully, you will be able to find one or two (and hopefully my top 5 will be some of your favorites!) to follow and workout with!
If you don’t like the workout, you’re not going to enjoy working out at all. So, find what you like and have fun! Let me know what workouts you like to do at home or who like to follow. I’m excited to live a healthier lifestyle together!
